We Provide Solutions

Fire Extinguishers

Portable fire extinguishers provide a convenient and proven way to combat the first signs of fire. We offer an assortment of fire extinguishers, each manufactured for specific fire classification. We provide a comprehensive program of inspecting, recharging, replacing, and hydrostatic testing of fire extinguishers. In addition, we offer training and demonstrations by our team of qualified technicians to familiarize your employees with the proper use of portable fire extinguishers.

The 6 types of Fire Extinguishers

1. ABC POWDER FIRE EXTINGUISHER
Powder fire extinguishers are effective for Class A, B and C fires.

2. CARBON DIOXIDE FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A carbon dioxide fire extinguisher (CO2) leaves no residue and requires no cleanup. The CO2 extinguisher is effective for class B fires that involve flammable liquids and electrical fires.

3. WET CHEMICAL FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A wet chemical fire extinguisher is used on Class K fires and is most effective in a cooking environment. However, it can also be used for Class A fires for such things like paper and wood fires.

4. WATER MIST FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A water mist fire extinguisher is a specialized extinguisher that can be effective for use across all class A, B, C, and K fires, making it the most versatile of the six types.

5. FOAM FIRE EXTINGUISHER
Foam fire extinguishers are suitable for Class A and Class B flammable liquids, but not effective for gaseous fires. Foam extinguishers are some of the best for liquid fires, such as gasoline fires, and can also be used on Class A fires involving solid combustibles like wood.

6. CLEAN AGENT FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A clean agent fire extinguisher is used for Class B and C fires; It is commonly used in electrical rooms to protect electronics and computer equipment. The agent used for this extinguisher is electrically non-conductive, so there is no residue after discharge. It is also safe to be used while people are present. This unit is a perfect fit for data centers or businesses where files are stored in server rooms.

Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems

Carbon dioxide is a clean and non-flammable gas that is commonly used as a fire-extinguishing agent for areas that are not typically occupied by people. CO2 efficiently and effectively extinguishes fire without leaving any toxic or liquid residue that might damage property or equipment.

What is backflow?

Backflow is when undesired water flows in any pipeline or plumbing system opposite from its intended direction. This has the potential to contaminate the water in plumbing systems and become unusable. Backflow can be especially dangerous if it occurs where drinking water is dispersed. A Backflow preventer must be properly installed, tested and maintained to prevent water from flowing backward in community water systems, to prevent contamination. For more information and resources on backflow safety see American Water Works Association.
